Lena Park died while reading hate comments.
Rain soaked her hoodie as she stood trembling on the bridge, phone glowing in her shaking hands.
"Attention seeker."
"Nobody would miss you."
"Disappear already."
Her college classmates had turned her life into entertainment. Someone leaked edited photos. Rumors spread online. Even professors looked at her differently.
And the worst part?
Nobody defended her.
Lena laughed bitterly through tears.
All her life, she had been invisible.
Except when people wanted someone to hate.
A truck horn screamed.
Bright headlights flooded her vision.
Then darkness. —
When Lena opened her eyes again, silk curtains danced around a luxurious bedroom larger than her entire apartment.
A crystal chandelier glittered overhead.
Her head throbbed violently.
Then a maid screamed.
"MISS ARIANA?!"
Lena froze.
Ariana?
The maid burst into tears.
"You finally woke up!"
Lena stumbled toward the mirror.
And saw the face she recognized instantly.
Ariana Vale.
The villainess from the novel she hated most.
Beautiful.
Rich.
Cruel.
The spoiled heiress who bullied the heroine, ruined innocent lives, and eventually died abandoned by everyone.
Lena backed away from the mirror in horror.
"No..."
Memories flooded her mind violently.
Elite university.
School hierarchy.
Public humiliation.
Ariana obsessively chasing Ethan Vale—the cold campus prince who despised her.
Chloe Winters—the sweet heroine everyone adored.
And finally...
Ariana dying alone after losing everything.
Lena remembered throwing the novel across her room after reading the ending.
Because despite Ariana being awful...
Her loneliness felt painfully familiar.
Suddenly another memory hit.
Today.
The rooftop incident.
In the original story, Ariana would publicly humiliate Chloe today.
Which begins her destruction.
Lena looked at the clock.
8:40 AM.
Her blood ran cold.
The rooftop confrontation happened at nine.
"Miss Ariana?" the maid asked nervously.
Lena grabbed her bag and ran.
—
The elite campus buzzed with gossip as luxury cars lined the entrance.
Students turned instantly seeing Ariana.
Fear.
Hatred.
Whispers followed her everywhere.
"She looks furious today."
"Poor Chloe."
"Ethan will kill her if she touches Chloe again."
Lena’s stomach twisted.
She sprinted toward the rooftop.
And arrived just in time.
Chloe Winters stood near the edge crying while Ariana’s followers surrounded her.
In the original timeline, Ariana slapped Chloe publicly here.
Then Ethan arrived and began hating Ariana permanently.
The scene unfolded exactly like the novel.
Except this time...
Lena stepped between them.
Everyone froze.
Chloe blinked in confusion.
"Ariana?"
Lena looked around at the girls.
"Leave her alone."
Dead silence.
One follower laughed nervously.
"Wait... what?"
Lena swallowed hard.
"I said stop bullying her."
Chloe stared at her like she’d lost her mind.
Then a cold voice interrupted.
"What game are you playing now?"
Ethan Vale.
Tall.
Sharp black uniform.
Emotionless eyes.
The male lead.
And according to the novel...
The man destined to destroy Ariana.
Lena’s chest tightened.
Because Ethan looked at her with pure disgust.
He stepped protectively in front of Chloe.
"Touch her again," he said coldly, "and you’ll regret it."
Lena realized something horrifying.
No matter what she changed...
Everyone already believed she was the villain.
—
The next few days became a nightmare.
Everywhere Lena went, students flinched.
Nobody sat near her.
Professors watched her carefully.
The original Ariana had spent years destroying people.
Now Lena lived with the consequences.
Even worse?
Her instincts still reacted emotionally to Ariana’s memories.
Jealousy when Ethan stood beside Chloe.
Anger when ignored.
The villainess’s emotions lingered inside her like ghosts.
Lena hated it.
She tried changing everything.
Returned stolen belongings.
Apologized to students.
Stopped humiliating staff.
But nobody trusted her.
Then things got worse.
Someone spread rumors online.
"Ariana is pretending to be nice because Ethan threatened her."
"Psychopath behavior."
"She’s planning something worse."
Lena sat alone in the cafeteria reading comments with shaking hands.
The same feeling from her old life returned.
No matter what she did...
People already decided who she was.
Then a tray slammed onto the table beside her.
A handsome unfamiliar boy sat down casually.
Silver earrings.
Messy dark hair.
Dangerous smile.
"Interesting," he said.
Lena frowned.
"What is?"
The boy leaned closer.
"Watching a villainess try to rewrite destiny."
Her blood froze.
The boy smiled wider.
"Nice to meet you, Lena Park."
—
Sebastian Reed transferred into the university that week.
And immediately became a problem.
Girls obsessed over him.
Teachers adored him.
And worst of all...
He clearly knew her secret.
Lena cornered him behind the library after class.
"Who are you?"
Sebastian leaned lazily against the wall.
"Your classmate."
"How do you know my real name?"
His expression softened unexpectedly.
"Because I watched you die."
Silence.
Lena stopped breathing.
Sebastian lowered his voice.
"In my original timeline... you jumped from that bridge."
Her chest tightened painfully.
"Original timeline?"
"I reincarnated too."
Lena stared at him in shock.
Sebastian continued quietly:
"Except I didn’t wake up inside a novel."
His eyes darkened.
"I woke up in the world that destroyed you."
Pieces slowly connected.
Sebastian had known her before her death.
In her real life.
Lena whispered shakily:
"Who were you?"
Sebastian smiled sadly.
"The guy too cowardly to save you."
—
Sebastian remembered everything.
Their university.
The bullying.
The online harassment.
The night Lena died.
He confessed the truth slowly while rain poured outside the library windows.
"I liked you," he admitted quietly.
Lena looked stunned.
"Then why didn’t you talk to me?"
Sebastian laughed bitterly.
"Because I was scared of becoming their next target."
That honesty hurt more than lies.
Lena looked away.
"You watched it happen."
"Yes."
"And did nothing."
Sebastian nodded painfully.
"That’s why I think we were both given another chance."
Lena crossed her arms tightly.
"I don’t want fate. I want survival."
Sebastian stepped closer.
"Then stop following the novel."
"What?"
"Every time you try avoiding scenes exactly as written, you still emotionally react like Ariana would."
He wasn’t wrong.
The story kept pulling her back toward disaster.
Sebastian’s eyes sharpened.
"If you want to survive... stop acting like the villainess. Become someone unpredictable."
For the first time since reincarnating...
Lena felt hope.
—
Unfortunately Chloe Winters remained a problem.
At first Chloe seemed identical to the novel heroine.
Sweet.
Kind.
Perfect.
But Lena started noticing strange things.
Students who defended Chloe somehow ended up attacking Ariana online later.
Rumors spread too perfectly.
And Chloe always appeared innocent afterward.
Then Lena accidentally overheard Chloe speaking privately on the phone.
"No," Chloe whispered coldly. "Keep spreading the cheating rumors."
Lena froze.
Chloe’s sweet voice vanished instantly.
"I don’t care if Ariana changed. Once people hate someone, they never stop."
Lena’s stomach twisted.
The heroine wasn’t innocent.
She was manipulating everyone.
Suddenly Chloe turned and spotted her.
Silence filled the hallway.
Then Chloe smiled sweetly.
Terrifyingly.
"How long were you listening?"
—
Chloe approached slowly.
Still smiling.
"You know what your problem is, Ariana?"
Lena stayed silent.
"People already expect you to be evil." Chloe tilted her head innocently. "That makes lying about you very easy."
Fear crawled down Lena’s spine.
Because Chloe sounded nothing like the heroine from the novel.
Chloe lowered her voice.
"Do you know why Ethan hates you so much?"
Lena’s chest tightened.
"Because you manipulated him?"
Chloe laughed softly.
"No. Because I gave him someone to protect."
That answer unsettled Lena deeply.
Chloe stepped closer.
"Everyone needs a villain in their story." Her eyes darkened. "And you wear the role beautifully."
Then footsteps echoed nearby.
Instantly Chloe burst into fake tears.
Ethan appeared.
His expression hardened seeing Lena cornering Chloe.
"What did you do now?"
Lena stared at Chloe in disbelief.
Chloe clutched Ethan’s arm weakly.
"It’s okay... maybe Ariana didn’t mean it."
Ethan looked at Lena coldly.
"Stay away from her."
And once again...
Lena became the villain.
—
Things escalated quickly.
Anonymous posts flooded campus forums.
"Ariana threatening Chloe again."
"Ethan protecting her from psycho heiress."
Students began openly insulting Lena in hallways.
Someone vandalized her locker.
Another student dumped juice over her uniform publicly.
Nobody helped.
The humiliation triggered memories from her first life.
Lena locked herself inside a bathroom stall shaking violently.
Her breathing became uneven.
Same whispers.
Same isolation.
Same helplessness.
Then someone knocked gently.
"Lena."
Sebastian.
She stayed silent.
"I know you’re in there."
Tears slipped down her face.
"Go away."
Sebastian’s voice softened.
"No."
Minutes passed quietly.
Then he finally said:
"You survived dying once. Don’t let them kill you again."
That sentence shattered something inside her.
Because deep down...
Lena feared history repeating itself.
—
Sebastian became her unexpected ally afterward.
He openly sat beside her in class.
Walked her between buildings.
Mocked students who spread rumors.
Naturally this made Ethan suspicious.
One afternoon Ethan cornered Sebastian outside the gym.
"Why are you helping her?"
Sebastian smirked.
"Why are you obsessed with hating her?"
Ethan’s jaw tightened.
"Ariana hurts people."
"So does Chloe."
That instantly changed the atmosphere.
Ethan stepped closer dangerously.
"Watch your mouth."
Sebastian’s smile vanished.
"Open your eyes."
The tension nearly exploded into violence before Lena interrupted them.
"Stop!"
Both boys looked toward her.
Ethan frowned seeing panic in her expression.
Sebastian backed away first.
But before leaving, he looked directly at Ethan.
"The girl you’re protecting isn’t the victim here."
That sentence lingered with Ethan uncomfortably.
Because recently...
Even he started noticing strange things.
—
The annual Winter Gala approached.
In the original novel, this became Ariana’s biggest humiliation.
She publicly confessed love to Ethan.
Ethan rejected her cruelly.
Students laughed.
Videos spread online.
And Ariana’s downward spiral intensified.
Lena refused to repeat it.
"I’m not going," she declared.
Sebastian nodded approvingly.
"Good."
Then her phone buzzed.
A message from Ethan.
"We need to talk. Meet me at the gala."
Lena frowned.
Why would Ethan contact her directly?
Sebastian immediately looked suspicious.
"Don’t go alone."
But curiosity won.
And that decision changed everything.
—
The Winter Gala glittered with chandeliers and designer gowns.
Students danced beneath golden lights while cameras flashed everywhere.
Lena entered cautiously wearing black instead of Ariana’s usual flashy colors.
Whispers followed instantly.
"She actually came?"
"Poor Ethan."
Lena ignored them.
Then she saw Ethan waiting alone on the balcony.
Snow fell softly outside.
He looked unexpectedly nervous.
"You came," he said quietly.
Lena crossed her arms.
"Why did you call me here?"
Ethan hesitated.
Then finally:
"I think I judged you too quickly."
Lena blinked in shock.
This never happened in the novel.
Ethan continued carefully.
"You’ve changed."
Before Lena could respond—
The ballroom screens suddenly lit up.
A video began playing publicly.
Gasps exploded everywhere.
It showed Ariana bullying students.
Threatening Chloe.
Slapping someone.
Humiliating classmates.
Lena’s blood ran cold.
Because none of those incidents happened after she reincarnated.
Someone edited old footage together deliberately.
Students instantly turned toward her with disgust.
Then the video changed.
A fake clip appeared showing Ariana kissing a professor.
The crowd erupted.
Lena stared in horror.
This wasn’t random humiliation.
Someone wanted to destroy her completely.
Then Chloe stepped onto the stage holding a microphone.
Tears filled her eyes.
"I stayed silent for too long," she whispered dramatically.
Sebastian suddenly burst into the ballroom.
His expression terrified.
"Lena, leave NOW."
Too late.
Police entered.
And announced Ariana Vale was under investigation for blackmail and academic fraud.
—
The scandal exploded overnight.
News channels swarmed the Vale mansion.
Students celebrated Ariana’s downfall online.
"Monster finally exposed."
"Expel her."
"Justice for Chloe."
Lena sat silently inside her massive bedroom reading the comments.
History repeated itself perfectly.
Different world.
Same hatred.
Sebastian arrived secretly through the balcony.
"Pack a bag."
Lena looked exhausted.
"What’s the point anymore?"
Sebastian grabbed her shoulders firmly.
"Don’t say that."
Tears filled Lena’s eyes.
"They already decided who I am."
Sebastian’s expression cracked painfully.
"I watched you believe that once before." His voice trembled. "I’m not watching it happen again."
Lena froze.
Because for the first time...
Sebastian looked genuinely terrified.
—
Sebastian took Lena to an abandoned observatory outside the city.
It became their hiding place.
Safe from cameras.
Safe from rumors.
Safe from everyone.
There, Sebastian finally revealed more truth about their first lives.
He wasn’t just a classmate.
He was the anonymous online user who secretly defended Lena during the cyberbullying.
But nobody listened.
"I should’ve done more," he whispered.
Lena stared at him quietly.
"Why do you care so much now?"
Sebastian looked directly into her eyes.
"Because I loved you in both timelines."
Silence filled the observatory.
Snow drifted softly outside.
Lena’s chest tightened painfully.
Nobody had ever confessed loving her before.
Not truly.
Then Sebastian smiled sadly.
"But this time you deserve someone who can actually protect you."
Before Lena could answer—
A news alert flashed across his phone.
ETHAN VALE PUBLICLY DEFENDS ARIANA VALE AGAINST FALSE ALLEGATIONS
Both froze.
Because according to the original novel...
Ethan was supposed to destroy Ariana.
Not protect her.
The story was changing.
—
Ethan’s press conference shocked the entire university.
Standing before reporters, he announced:
"The evidence against Ariana Vale was manipulated."
Chaos erupted instantly.
Students turned against Chloe online for the first time.
Meanwhile Chloe watched the livestream from her dormitory with cold fury.
She smashed a glass against the wall.
"Why is he protecting her?"
Because Ethan finally discovered something suspicious.
The fake professor video.
The edited timestamps.
The coordinated rumors.
Someone engineered Ariana’s downfall carefully.
And Chloe always benefited.
That realization unsettled him deeply.
Especially because...
Ariana never denied anything.
She only looked hurt.
And Ethan suddenly hated himself for ignoring that difference.
—
Lena returned to campus days later.
This time students looked uncertain instead of hateful.
Some avoided eye contact.
Others whispered nervously.
The narrative was cracking.
Then Chloe approached her publicly.
Still smiling sweetly.
"Can we talk privately?"
Lena immediately sensed danger.
But agreed anyway.
Inside an empty classroom, Chloe’s mask vanished instantly.
"You ruined everything," Chloe hissed.
Lena crossed her arms.
"You did that yourself."
Chloe laughed bitterly.
"You think Ethan suddenly likes you?"
Lena stayed silent.
Chloe stepped closer.
"People only love broken girls when they look tragic enough."
That sentence hit too personally.
Because Chloe understood emotional manipulation frighteningly well.
Then Chloe whispered something horrifying:
"Do you want to know why this world feels so familiar?"
Lena’s blood froze.
Chloe smiled slowly.
"Because this isn’t fiction."
—
That revelation shattered Lena completely.
"What are you talking about?"
Chloe tilted her head.
"You really think reincarnating into a novel is normal?"
Lena backed away slowly.
Chloe’s eyes darkened.
"This world exists because people like us were abandoned in another one."
None of it made sense.
Then Chloe whispered:
"I remember dying too."
Silence.
Lena stopped breathing.
Chloe continued quietly:
"Different life. Same loneliness."
For one brief moment...
Chloe looked genuinely broken.
Then it vanished.
"The difference between us?" Chloe smiled coldly. "I decided never to be weak again."
Before Lena could respond, the classroom door opened.
Ethan entered.
Chloe instantly burst into tears.
"Ariana threatened me again."
Ethan looked between them silently.
This time...
He didn’t immediately believe Chloe.
And Chloe noticed.
Her expression darkened with fear.
—
The romance tension exploded afterward.
Ethan began seeking Lena out constantly.
Helping her during classes.
Walking her home.
Watching her carefully.
One evening he finally confessed:
"I don’t understand you anymore."
Lena laughed softly.
"Neither do I."
Rain poured around them outside the library.
Ethan stepped closer.
"You look at people like you expect them to betray you."
That observation hit too accurately.
Lena looked away.
"Maybe because they usually do."
Ethan’s expression softened.
"I’m trying not to."
Their eyes locked.
Dangerously close.
Then Sebastian appeared unexpectedly.
And immediately saw the tension.
His jaw tightened instantly.
Because despite loving Lena...
He knew the original story still pulled Ethan toward her.
And that terrified him.
—
The love triangle became unavoidable.
Campus gossip exploded again.
"Ethan likes Ariana now?"
"Sebastian and Ethan fighting over her?"
"What is happening?"
Meanwhile Lena felt emotionally exhausted.
She didn’t trust romance anymore.
Not after dying unloved once already.
But both boys affected her differently.
Ethan represented fate changing.
Sebastian represented someone who remembered her pain.
One night during a school festival, Ethan pulled Lena aside privately.
Lanterns floated across the lake nearby.
Music echoed softly.
Ethan looked nervous.
"I owe you an apology."
Lena blinked.
"For what?"
"Everything."
That honesty stunned her.
Ethan swallowed hard.
"I thought hating you made me righteous."
Lena’s chest tightened.
"And now?"
Ethan stepped closer.
"Now I think I was just cruel."
For one dangerous second...
Lena almost kissed him.
Then Sebastian suddenly grabbed her arm.
"We need to go."
His expression looked panicked.
"Right now."
Moments later, screaming erupted across the festival.
Someone pushed Chloe into the lake.
And witnesses immediately blamed Ariana.
Again.
—
Security footage mysteriously vanished.
Students claimed they saw Ariana arguing with Chloe earlier.
The university threatened expulsion.
Lena nearly broke down completely.
No matter what changed...
The world kept forcing her into the villain role.
Then Sebastian revealed another devastating truth.
"The story is correcting itself," he explained.
Lena stared at him.
"What does that mean?"
"Major events keep trying to happen no matter what we change."
Fear spread through her.
"So I’m doomed anyway?"
Sebastian grabbed her hands firmly.
"No."
His eyes burned intensely.
"Because this time I’m fighting fate with you."
And for the first time since reincarnating...
Lena believed survival might actually be possible.
—
The emotional midpoint arrived during the university trial.
Students gathered inside the auditorium while administrators debated Ariana’s expulsion publicly.
Chloe sat pretending to cry.
Ethan looked conflicted.
Sebastian remained furious.
Lena stood alone before everyone.
Exactly like her old life.
Judged.
Humiliated.
Misunderstood.
Then suddenly Sebastian interrupted the proceedings.
"You want the truth?"
He connected his phone to the auditorium screens.
Hidden footage appeared.
Chloe deliberately throwing herself into the lake.
Gasps exploded everywhere.
Students stared in shock.
Then another video played.
Chloe manipulating rumors.
Editing evidence.
Faking injuries.
The heroine’s perfect image shattered instantly.
Chloe looked horrified.
"Where did you get that?!"
Sebastian’s expression darkened.
"I’ve been watching you for a long time."
Ethan slowly looked toward Chloe.
Betrayed.
Disgusted.
Chloe finally snapped.
"You think she’s innocent?!"
She pointed violently at Lena.
"She died pathetic in her first life too!"
The entire auditorium froze.
Lena’s blood turned cold.
Chloe realized too late what she revealed.
And suddenly everyone understood.
Something supernatural was happening.
—
After the trial, chaos consumed campus.
Students whispered about reincarnation.
Conspiracy theories spread online.
Chloe disappeared.
And Ethan finally confronted Lena privately.
"What did she mean?"
Lena looked exhausted.
"You wouldn’t believe me."
"Try me."
So Lena told him everything.
Her old life.
Her death.
Waking up inside Ariana.
Ethan listened silently.
When she finished...
He whispered:
"You died believing nobody loved you?"
That question broke her.
Tears filled Lena’s eyes instantly.
"Yes."
Ethan stepped closer slowly.
"Then everyone failed you."
Before Lena could answer—
Sebastian appeared.
And for the first time...
Ethan realized Sebastian’s feelings weren’t simple.
This wasn’t rivalry.
Sebastian carried grief.
Guilt.
Love.
And suddenly Ethan understood.
He wasn’t competing against another boy.
He was competing against someone trying to save the girl he once lost.
—
The major betrayal happened weeks later.
Chloe returned.
But not alone.
She exposed Sebastian publicly.
Turns out Sebastian manipulated events too.
He hacked systems.
Followed students.
Collected private data on everyone.
Even Lena.
The revelation devastated her.
"You lied to me," she whispered.
Sebastian looked shattered.
"I was protecting you."
"By spying on me?!"
Sebastian’s voice cracked.
"I watched you die once!"
Students stared at him like a psychopath.
Ethan punched Sebastian instantly.
"You don’t own her trauma."
Sebastian snapped back violently:
"At least I never abandoned her!"
Silence exploded.
Because deep down...
Ethan knew he once would have.
Lena walked away crying.
And both boys realized they hurt her differently.
—
The lowest emotional point came afterward.
Lena isolated herself completely.
No Ethan.
No Sebastian.
No trust left.
She sat alone inside Ariana’s enormous bedroom staring at the city lights.
Despite changing so much...
She still felt lonely.
Then she discovered Ariana’s hidden diary.
The original villainess wrote pages filled with pain.
"Nobody sees me unless they hate me."
"I wish someone would ask why I’m cruel instead of just fearing me."
"I think I became a villain because it was the only role anyone remembered me for."
Lena broke down reading it.
Because Ariana wasn’t born evil.
She was shaped by isolation.
Just like Lena.
And suddenly Lena understood the real tragedy.
The villainess and heroine were never opposites.
They were both broken girls surviving differently.
—
Meanwhile Chloe spiraled dangerously.
Her lies exposed.
Students turning against her.
Online hatred returning.
History repeating again.
Lena finally confronted her alone on the rooftop where everything began.
Chloe looked exhausted.
Broken.
"Are you happy now?" Chloe whispered.
Lena shook her head.
"No."
Chloe laughed bitterly.
"You won."
"This was never about winning."
Tears filled Chloe’s eyes.
"People only love girls who suffer beautifully." Her voice cracked. "I got tired of being invisible."
Lena understood that feeling too well.
Then Chloe stepped toward the edge.
And suddenly Lena realized with horror...
This mirrored her own death scene.
Lena grabbed Chloe instantly.
"Don’t."
Chloe sobbed violently.
"Why save me after everything?"
Lena held her tighter.
"Because nobody saved me."
That sentence changed everything.
—
The final arc began after Chloe confessed publicly.
She admitted manipulating Ariana.
Spreading rumors.
Using Ethan.
Engineering public hate.
The entire university erupted into scandal.
Students apologized to Lena desperately.
Too late.
Because Lena no longer needed their validation.
Instead she stood before the student council and exposed the deeper truth.
The school itself encouraged bullying.
Professors ignored harassment.
Administrators protected wealthy reputations over student safety.
The real villains were systemic.
Not just personal.
Her speech went viral nationwide.
Students across the country shared similar stories.
The university president resigned within days.
And for the first time...
Lena stopped being the villainess everyone hated.
She became the girl who survived.
—
The final romance resolution came quietly.
Ethan and Sebastian both met Lena beneath the cherry blossom trees near graduation.
Neither smiled.
Because both already understood.
Lena looked stronger now.
Different.
No longer desperate for love.
Sebastian spoke first.
"I’m sorry for trying to control your healing."
Lena nodded softly.
"Thank you for trying to protect me anyway."
Ethan looked at her carefully.
"And I’m sorry for believing the worst about you."
Lena smiled sadly.
"Most people did."
Silence drifted gently.
Then Ethan finally asked:
"What happens now?"
Lena looked toward the sunset.
"Now I live for myself."
That answer hurt both boys.
But also...
Made them proud.
Then Lena turned toward Sebastian.
"Walk with me?"
Ethan lowered his eyes knowingly.
And stepped back.
Because despite fate...
Despite the original story...
Lena chose the person who remembered her even before she became beautiful.
—
Graduation day arrived beneath golden sunlight.
Students cheered.
Cameras flashed.
And Lena stood center stage delivering the final speech.
Not as Ariana Vale.
Not as the villainess.
Not as the bullied girl who died alone.
But as someone reborn from both.
She looked across the crowd calmly.
"People love easy stories," she said softly.
"Heroes. Villains. Monsters. Victims."
The campus fell silent.
"But real people are more complicated than that."
Tears filled some students’ eyes.
Lena smiled faintly.
"Sometimes the person everyone hates is just the one nobody tried to understand."
Sebastian watched her proudly.
Ethan smiled quietly from the audience.
Even Chloe cried silently.
Because all of them understood now.
The story was never about reincarnation.
It was about loneliness.
And what people become when nobody reaches for them.
After the ceremony, Lena stood alone near the gates one last time.
The same place Ariana originally died abandoned in the novel.
But this time...
Someone waited for her.
Sebastian extended his hand.
"Ready to leave this story behind?"
Lena looked at the sky.
Then smiled.
For real this time.
And took his hand.

Nice Story
